Rental-car company Getaround introduced its business plan for “peer-to-peer car sharing” on May 24 at the Tech Crunch Disrupter conference in New York City. Unlike other car-renting and car-sharing companies such as ZipCar, Getaround works by connecting potential car renters with willing car owners via an iPhone app. All Getaround vehicles are privately owned.

Now, just to be even-handed you understand, Subaru has divvied up another photo, well, tease anyway, of another concept – the Subaru XV Concept – due to be revealed at the Shanghai Motor Show.
It looks like Porsche and VW may come together under the Auto Union banner. Of course, all these shenanigans have come about because of Porsche’s desire to gobble up VW. The plan looked great, and Porsche grabbed a big chunk of VW stock.
